TRÉSOR FILMS

Alain ATTAL

BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY

Thanks to the production of short films, Alain Attal has, since the beginning of the 2000s, gathered around him a team of talented young directors, actors and writers whom he then naturally accompanied for their first feature films: Gilles Lellouche and Tristan Aurouet, Guillaume Canet or Philippe Lefebvre.

These first-year experiences allowed him to rapidly expand the circle of his talents and to retain already confirmed directors such as Nicole Garcia, Radu Mihaileanu and Maïwenn whose film “POLISSE” wins the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2011.

Continuing his collaboration with the historical directors of the Productions du Trésor, Alain Attal also produced, over the years, many first films, thus contributing to the emergence of new talents such as Romain Lévy, Régis Roinsard, Jeanne Herry, Thomas Bidegain or Stephanie Di Giusto that will accompany naturally for their second opus.

During these years devoted to developing Les Productions du Trésor, which became Trésor Films, Alain Attal has been very active in the profession to defend independent production and encourage the development of a rich and quality French cinema. In 2007, he became vice-president of the APC, Association des Producers de Cinema, and in 2013 and 2014, vice-president of the 2nd college of Advance on Recipes CNC.

With 30 films produced to date, having accumulated nearly 30 million admissions and obtained prestigious awards and selections in major festivals, Alain Attal continues to defend a certain vision of cinema: independent, demanding and popular.

ECCE FILMS

Emmanuel CHAUMET

BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY

Emmanuel Chaumet created Ecce Films in 2003 for the nicely crafted production of Sophie Letourneur’s first film in Super 8 and out of sync.

The company admits a penchant for taking artistic and financial risks often inseparable from each other. Thus were born “La vie au ranch”, “La Bataille de Solférino”, “La fille du 14 juillet” or recently “Les garçons sauvages”, so many first feature films designed for the cinemas and products in budgets in line with their commercial result. Craftsman-moviegoer and film-maker, filmmaker passionate about the human adventure that carries them, Emmanuel Chaumet accompanies some filmmakers – Justine Triet (“Victoria”) Benoit Forgeard (“Yves” in theaters on June 26th ) or Bertrand Mandico (“Paradis sale””, currently in production) – while imposing a quota of new entrants through the maintenance byune large production of short films.

Convinced that no one is immune to success, Ecce Films produces a lot but develops little, without any editorial line and for the sole purpose of maximizing its profits.

CURIOSA FILMS

Olivier DELBOSC

BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY

After almost 20 years at the helm of Fidélité Films with Marc Missonnier, Curiosa Films was born out of the desire not for a renewal, but for a different impulse, breaking with the reflexes built by time.

With an experience that reaches almost 70 feature films produced in less than 20 years, including many international co-productions, my goal has always been to support a wide variety of projects in terms of genre, budget and universe, around several guidelines: grow with directors by going from short to long (François Ozon, Yann Moix); maintain a relationship of trust and loyalty with directors and writers (Jérôme Tonnerre, Claire Barré); propose to renowned authors to accompany them on exceptional projects (Gaspar Noé, Xavier Giannoli).

With Émilien Bignon at my side, I hope to give myself the means to preserve these objectives by redefining what motivates my deep desire to produce.

This new impetus allows me to continue the accompaniment of authors with whom I already tied a strong bond (Xavier Giannoli, André Téchiné, Bertrand Blier), but also to build new relationships (Claire Denis, Martin Provost, Erick Zonca ), while developing an intensive policy of discoveries of talents to thus produce audacious first films (Etienne Comar, Lou Jeunet, Meryem Benm’Barek).

BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY

CINÉFRANCE was founded in 2012. Founded and directed by Etienne Mallet, David Gauquié and Julien Deris, our company has co-produced forty films and live shows, and we are also developing series projects.
We make a direct relationship with talent, the foundation of our practice, investing heavily in the development phases.
We consider our activity of producers above all as giving talents the means to build their projects, combining artistic, technical and financial requirements. This involves bringing together diverse and original skills and then having them create and work together: we believe in the notion of team.
Allowing diverse skills to express themselves involves building bridges between the mutually supportive worlds of theater, film and audiovisual. As many of our co-productions show, the requirement and quality go hand in hand with a broad and popular audience. Finally, we are convinced that the development of creative activities goes on the international stage.

NORD-OUEST FILMS

Christophe ROSSIGNON & Philmip BOËFFARD

BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY

After an engineering career, Christophe Rossignon joined the LAZENNEC company, created by Alain Rocca and Adeline Lécallier in 1990. He produced 10 short films, including those of Mathieu Kassovitz and Tran Anh Hung, then became a partner of LAZENNEC and shift to the feature film, including “La Haine” of Mathieu Kassovitz and “L’odeur de la papaye verte” by Tran Ang Hung.
For his part, after engineering studies at the Ecole des Mines in Nancy, Philip Boëffard joined LAZENNEC in 1992, where he worked in management control and then with Bertrand Faivre in the short film department. He then made a five-year “roundabout” in the world of finance and consulting at KPMG AUDIT.
In 1999, Christophe and Philip joined forces to create their production company, NORD-OUEST. The editorial line of production is structured from the beginning around strong and eclectic choices: varied cinematographic genres, risk-taking, family and human comedies, historical frescoes, committed films with a political dimension … Christophe and Philip are as faithful to their instinct as to their directors: Christian Carion, Philippe Lioret, Vincent Garenq or Michel Ocelot become recurring figures of the NORD-OUEST house, which leaves the door open to other talents, such as Nils Tavernier, Safy Nebbou or Stéphane Brizé .
19 years later, NORD-OUEST has a FILMOGRAPHY of more than forty films produced or co-produced, and has joined a third associate producer, Pierre Guyard (“Les combattants”, “Ce sentiment de l’été”, “Ami-ami”,…). The company also has a documentary department, and is currently developing a TV branch (series and units).

In 2014, Hugo Sélignac found the Productions du Trésor to produce Jeanne Herry’s first feature film, Elle l’adore. Wishing to retain his talents, he will co-produce in 2018 his second feature film “Pupille”.
Young and dynamic, Hugo Sélignac wants to engage in the production of first films alongside young directors like Sara Forestier (“M”, 2017) and the Renier brothers (“Carnivores”, 2018).
The company also affirms its desire to produce ambitious comedies artistically by engaging in 2018 on movies like “Mon ket”, François Damiens, “Le monde est à toi”, Romain Gavras and “Le Grand Bain”, Gilles Lellouche.
Today, Hugo Sélignac is preparing to release his ninth feature, “Le Chant du Loup”, by Antonin Baudry. He develops several projects including BAC Nord, the next film by Cédric Jimenez and tends to defend a certain vision of cinema, combining artistic demand, singular universe and popular cinema.
