9th César Ceremony

Ex æquo for Best Film

This year, Gene Kelly presides over the Ceremony and it is Monica Vitti, Pierre Richard, Brigitte Fossey, Macha Meryl and Léon Zitrone the Masters of Ceremonies. À nos amours, by Maurice Pialat, and Ettore Scola’s Le bal, both win the César for Best Film. This will be the only equality case to date for this category.
